Early Life and Cricketing Journey

Born on March 27, 2011, in Tajpur village, Bihar, Vaibhav's passion for cricket was evident from a young age. Under the guidance of his father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, he began formal training at nine and quickly made a name for himself in age-group cricket. At just 12 years and 284 days old, he debuted in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar against Mumbai in January 2024, becoming one of the youngest first-class cricketers in Indian history.

His talent shone brightly in youth internationals, scoring a 58-ball century against Australia U-19s, the fastest by an Indian in youth Tests.

IPL Breakthrough with Rajasthan Royals

In November 2024, Vaibhav made headlines by becoming the youngest player ever to be signed in the IPL, with the Rajasthan Royals securing him for ₹1.1 crore. He made his IPL debut on April 19, 2025, against the Lucknow Super Giants, scoring 34 runs off 20 balls, including a first-ball six.

Record-Breaking Century

Vaibhav etched his name in the record books on April 28, 2025, by scoring a blistering 101 off 38 balls against the Gujarat Titans. At 14 years and 32 days, he became the youngest centurion in men's T20 cricket and recorded the second-fastest century in IPL history, just behind Chris Gayle's 30-ball hundred.
